and, I was showing my zines in a zine exhibition called DE ZINES in Spain. Ah not 'was' actually. It will run until the end of August.

As seeing the photos, the exhibition looks great.
Nice way of showing and beautiful space.

OKIDO 13

New OKIDO!



A bit taller, more pages, new design!
The logo is popping out!
They are now sold at WHSmith.

This issue is about body sounds.



Inside stays usual OKIDO, but broad.



I did this spread.
Just next to Zim Zam Zoom!
I imagined, created and drew how each body sounds are made inside body.
Looks nice finally-

It's finally coming very soon.
Our external degree show 'Save Our Souls' will start this Thursday!

I'll exhibit a scroll, an animation, prints, and a room... many.





And there is a Sunday market on 11th.
I'll have a stall of course.

Also there is a raffle that you can win artists' prints!

Last week was the last chance to use the printmaking studio at college.

I printed many copies of etching I did ages ago as I didn't have any copies of that on Tuesday, and new lithograph print on Friday.
It was third time to try lithography including induction. I still hadn't been good at it.

The technicians would teach us if we ask, but not very friendly to students, even though they talk and laugh each other very much.

HOWEVER, Simon was unexpectedly kind on Friday.
He gave me good quality paper as 'early Christmas present', new plate as I made mistake on the first one,
and gave students, who's been doing printing a lot, a book about prints.



I didn't expect such a kindness.
Did he tried to be a kind teacher finally?

As I said thank you, he was expressionless though..




By the way, replica of blue elephant was like this. funny.

Elephants have been removed from the locations already.

OKIDO new house

I visited OKIDO's new house.

There were roses surrounding the front door. They didn't know that until flowers bloomed.
The door is coloured with OKIDO colour.

I handed in all works on Friday. Everything is done-

It was soooo hard. like nightmare, but, anyway I've done it.




What I was doing until just before the deadline was this.




Picture scroll

Scroll usually starts from right hand side but, it is to show British people now, so it starts from left to make it easy to understand the timeline.



The artwork is 5 meters long.



I enjoyed drawing this very very much. really enjoyed.

But making it into a scroll was so hard job. There are many process, anyway, it was hard job..

I couldn't finish it without people's help.

While finishing this, I was writing three 500-word statements.
I was exhausted but had lots of things to say, then I could have done them for 3-4 hours.
But I didn't check after writing. worry about that..


Anyway all done.
After animation's finished, I was thinking not to do the scroll once. But I feel it's finally done well. I'm pleased.



Saturday was London Zine Symposium.
Me & Chie helped ZEEL's workshop there. Kids draw at the space and he'll make zine with them.
His son Orson, Darryl and his son Noah were there as well.



Not so many kids came, but Orson spend the whole time to draw at the event.
Good boy. I like him.
